The First Two

I would like to introduce two new young friends, Kalayani and Karthik. When they first came to my life, they knew their English but were reluctant to speak. In a few days they taught me much about them which in turn helped me to teach them how to overcome fear and speak with confidence. Confidence like power is only shared and not made anew for the customers!
Being non-judgmental is the key. By doing minimum correction and providing them with the right model continuously for them to compare and imbibe. In a matter of days they began to communicate with each other and their classmates only in English without my instructing them to do so.
They also began to show the differences in their personalities, the factors that make each of us unique and useful to the world. And their weaknesses too.

Kalyani is a natural learner, a perfectionist, affectionate and hard working. A perfect brain to pursue academics which need memorising a lot of data, like medical science, chemistry or Geography.
Karthik is an insightful analyst, very humorous, caring and innovative. A perfect brain for conceptual leaning like maths, physics, economics or aesthetics.

Here is some work they did. There are mistakes but the effort they took is obvious.
